Official mascot of the FIBA U17 World Championship
Siggi and Hein are two eagles

Siggi and Hein are two eagles, the symbol of the Federal Republic of Germany. Especially for the venue, the Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Siggi and Hein wear maritime outfits. Siggi has been known in the German basketball family for being the official mascot of the senior teams and Hein is a new, younger and smaller addition, especially designed for the 2010 FIBA U17 World Championship for Men in Hamburg.
Tim Unterluggauer, Center for Leverkusen, commented on the very important role the mascot and the fans will play at the U17 WCFM in Hamburg. "We are very happy to have our own mascot. I think Hein is very cool! We hope he will be the perfect connection to our fans. We will need the fans to create a little advantage for our team in our challenging group."
